Morning Prayer: My Resistance

Prayed every morning from memory as a part of my daily breviary...
Hear me, O spirits of darkness, so you will know where I stand. I am God's servant, purchased with scars, and bought by the blood of the Lamb (see 1).
Hear me, O spirits of darkness, so you will know where I stand. I am God's servant, purchased with scars, and bought by the blood of the Lamb.
Hear me, O spirits of darkness, so you will know where I stand. I am God's servant, purchased with scars, and bought by the blood of the Lamb.
Lord Jesus Christ…I give You me. I surrender to You all I am and everything about me: my sonship to Your Father; my warriorship in Your Kingdom; my manhood; my personality; my sexuality; my relationships; my physical, mental, and spiritual health, strength, vitality, and well-being; my work; my training; my problems, difficulties, and challenges; my fears and anxieties; my frustrations; my pain, sorrow, and suffering; my joys; my hopes and dreams; my gifts, skills, strengths, and talents; my time; my places and spaces of daily living; my experiences; my resources; and my past, present, and future. Lord Jesus Christ...It's all Yours.
Spirits...I resist your attacks upon my soul, both the material and immaterial parts; and in the Name of Jesus I reject everything you've tried to place upon me. Spirits...In the Name of Jesus, I command you: leave me alone! The weapons you've fashioned against me, will not stand—everyone of them will be brought down. For the weapons of my warfare are spiritual, not carnal, and I will defeat you in the Holy and Righteous Name of Jesus (see 2).
Spirits...Above all the weapons available to me, I take up the shield of faith, which will quench everything you try to hurl at me (see 3), and the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God wielded skillfully in my mouth (see 4); and in this moment, I command you in the Name of Jesus to listen to me as I in faith proclaim God's Word:
Psalm 103:1-5 (NIV, 1984)...
Praise the LORD, O my soul. All my inmost being, praise his holy Name. Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases. Who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion. Who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
Psalm 103:8 (NIV, 1984)...
The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.
Proverbs 4:20-27 (NIV, 1984)...
My son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to a man's whole body. Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. Put away perversity from your mouth; keep corrupt talk far from your lips. Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. Make level paths for your feet, and keep only to ways that are firm. Do not swerve to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.
Isaiah 43:4-6 (NIV, 1984)...
Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. The wild animals honor me, the jackals and the owls, because I provide water in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland, to give drink to my people, my chosen, the people I fashioned for myself so that they may proclaim my praise.
Isaiah 52:7 (NIV, 1984)...
How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, "Your God reigns!"
Isaiah 53:4-6 (NIV, 1984)...
Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Isaiah 55:1-3 (NIV, 1984)...
Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and your soul will delight in the richest of fare. Give ear and come to me; hear me, that you may live.
Isaiah 61:1-3 (NIV, 1984 [expanded slightly])...
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the meek. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oils of everlasting gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. And they shall be called oaks of righteousness, a tender planting of the Eternal Living God for the display of his splendor.
Hosea 10:12 (NIV, 1984)...
Sow for yourselves righteousness, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the Lord, until he comes and showers righteousness upon you.
Hear me, O spirits of darkness, so you will know where I stand. I am God's servant, purchased with scars, and bought by the blood of the Lamb.

Move behind me, Satan. Your words and actions are contrary to the purposes of God. In the Name of Jesus, please step away from my mat, and leave us all alone.
Tyrannical and war-mongering spirits, nations, tribes, cultures, gangs, and people...In the name of Jesus, please step away from my mat, and leave us all alone.
World System...you beast of iniquity, immorality, and lawlessness; mind subjugation; systemic sedation; chronic scarcity and grinding poverty; self-centeredness; power-mongering; resource control; data collection and manipulation; hatred, violence, and brutality; bigotry, prejudice, and slavery; politically inspired outrage, disinformation, and minimization; food poisoning and environmental destruction; polytheism, pantheism, and paganism; and antichristology...in the Name of Jesus, please step away from my mat, and leave us all alone.
False self...In the Name of Jesus, please step away from my mat, and leave us all alone.
Dear Father...In Your Word, You command us to desire eagerly the higher gifts. As such, I ask You for the gifts of faith, healing, the working of miracles, prophesy (which includes dreams and visions), the discerning of spirits, words of knowledge, and words of wisdom.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirt. As it was in the beginning so is it now and forever shall be: Kingdom—new heaven and new earth, fully restored—without end, inextricably connected. Amen!
