Healing Meditation

Greetings...

Please keep me in your prayers, my friends. This past Saturday morning, I ruptured my left achilles tendon as I was running up the warped wall at WTOCR (the ninja gym near my house). I meet with my surgeon in Raleigh at 1p today.

Provided below, is a prayerful meditation I compiled Saturday night. I have now memorized it in its entirety and will be praying it many times each day throughout my recovery, which may take several months. In terms of my rehab, I've always been a really, really good patient. I do whatever the doctor orders (and usually much more). I'll need the physical therapist to be firm with me on helping me set limits. Sure, I can do three sets of 20, but wouldn't 30 sets of 200 be better? Anyway, so here's the meditation:

Healing Meditation

My Visualization…

In this moment, and in the Name of Jesus, I see tissue extending down from the upper end to the lower end of my severed left Achilles tendon. I see it extending out like a hungry, growing vine. Similarly, I see tissue extending up from the lower end to the upper end. As they meet, I see (and experience) them pulling my entire Achilles tendon back together again and then knitting it together perfectly, similar to way I was first knit together in my mother’s womb. Knit together so perfectly, that there is no trace of rupture, or scar tissue, or weakness whatsoever! It's brand new—like that which I had when I was an 11-year-old boy, long before I ever injured it. Even more than that, it has the elastic steel like strength, pliability, and elasticity of spider webbing. This is all to the praise of God’s glory…to the praise of Yahweh-rophe, the Name of Existence, who is My Creator, My Healer, and My Healing.

My Master's Words…

"Therefore I tell you, Whatever you ask for in My Name, believe that you’ve already received it, and it will be yours."

"Anything is possible to him who believes."

My Prayerful Response…

I do believe; help me, LORD, to overcome my unbelief.

My Declaration…

Body and Mind, in the Name of Jesus, You're healed!

Jesus, I have You—You Are My Healing!

I have You—You Are My Healing!

I have You—You Are My Healing!

The Conversation…

Jesus: What do you want Me to do for you?

Me: Lord, I want to be well—lean, agile, and vibrant…holy, healthy, and happy!

Me: Lord, if You want to, You can make me well.

Jesus: I do want to—be well!!

Psalm 103:1-5…

Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy Name.

Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

Proverbs 4:20-27…

My son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words.

Do not let them out of your sight; keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to a man’s whole body.

Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.

Put away perversity from your mouth; keep corrupt talk far from your lips.

Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you.

Make level paths for your feet, and keep only to ways that are firm.

Do not swerve to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.

Isaiah 52:1...

Awake, Awake, O Zion. Clothe yourself with strength; put on your garments of splendor.

Isaiah 52:7…

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, "Your God reigns!"

Isaiah 53:4-6...

Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted.

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

My Master's Words…

You are The Temple Ninja, Dave. I AM with you, for you have reached up and tied yourself to Me: the Master.

My Mantric Response…

I am The Temple Ninja. The LORD is with me; I have tied myself to the Master.
