Romans 8:31 Meditation

Text (Ro 8:31, NIV):

“What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”

Amplified Rendering:

In light of all this, what can we say? That Almighty God has us in the Palms of His Hands? That He's promised that no one or thing will ever snatch us from His grasp(1)? And that His beneficent love toward us is from everlasting to everlasting(2)? Yes! We can say such things, for they are in deed the reality of what He'd done for us...of what we have in Him as His sons and daughters.

Consecrated Prayer:

Holy Father…

I dwell safely in the Palms of Your Hands, for I am Your son(3). As such, and ultimately, nothing can harm or hurt me(4). What I have now is nothing but glorious. And what awaits me is beyond description or comparison. As was written so very long ago, "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has conceived the things God has prepared for those who love Him(5)."

Thank You for all this, O Father. In my present condition, Your plans for me and Your thoughts toward and about me or too wonderful for me to comprehend(6). One day, I will know You and all things (experientially, cognitively, relationally) just as I'm known thoroughly and loved through and through right now by You(7).

In the Name of Jesus, I declare these these things...

Amen.
